City Hit And Run
Onlookers watched in horror as a Jamestown motorcyclist lay injured at a city intersection Thursday, a victim of an apparent hit-and-run accident.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m., the motorcyclist – whose name was not released – was traveling southbound on Winsor Street when he quickly swerved to avoid a Ford Explorer traveling westbound on Allen Street. The latter allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection.
The motorcyclist hit the ground and suffered a severe compound fracture to his left leg, according to Jamestown Police. He was transported to WCA Hospital by Alstar Ambulance.
Investigation is ongoing to locate the driver of the Ford Explorer.
