Two Olean Men Charged After Meth Bust

OLEAN – Two Olean men reportedly involved in methamphetamine production were arrested Tuesday following a joint police raid of their 108 W. Riverside Drive residence.

Richard A. Wall, 44, and Carey W. Peden, 37, were inside the residence when members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, New York State Police, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, DEA Buffalo and the Olean Police Department executed a search warrant and raided the property.

Wall was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

Peden was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and false impersonation.

Both were taken to the Olean Police Department, where they were processed and held pending arraignment.
