JAMESTOWN AREA MIDGET FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Westside Panthers were victorious with Jayvees, Varsity and Modified teams winning over the Southside Blue Devils on Saturday.

Radon Wright carried for 142 yards on 12 carries while tallying runs of 13 and 50 yards as the Westside (1-1) defeated the Blue Devils in the Jayvee matchup.

Ty Schultz led the defense with 12 stops and Edwin Gibbon added six tackles and recovered a pair of fumbles.

In the varsity game, the Westside improved to 2-0 by dominating both sides of the ball in winning over the Southside, 18-6.

Also improving to 2-0 was the Westside’s modified team by virtue of a 26-13 verdict over the Blue Devils.

Gavin Brown scored twice on offense and once on defense. Shane Calkins threw for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Eganski had three catches and key block that sprung Harry Monfort for a 21-yard pass. Eganski had seven tackles and an interception while Nevan Kearney and Brown also had interceptions.

The offensive and defensive lines were anchored by Dominic Johnson, Erik Peterson, Chase Jones, Dylan Neid and David Delahoy.
