JHS Earns First Volleyball Win Of Season

WEST SENECA – The Butman sisters along with Becky Rew were the difference makers for Jamestown High School’s girls volleyball team Wednesday night.

Erin Butman had seven kills, four assists, two blocks, seven digs and an ace while Ashley Butman recorded 12 digs and seven kills as the Lady Red Raiders swept West Seneca West, 25-19, 25-18, 25-23, in Division 1 of the Erie County Interscholastic Conference.

Rew chipped in 20 assists, two kills, four digs and five aces.

The Lady Red Raiders (1-0, 1-1) overcame a 23-11 deficit by scoring the final 14 points in the third game to complete the sweep.

Jamestown is next in action against nonleague Warren on Tuesday.

Jamestown also won the jayvee match.
