CASAC Schedules Fall Trainings
CASAC has a fall line-up of trainings for community members, and professionals on addictions and how the user, family, loved ones, the unborn child and relationships with others are negatively affected.
CASAC has scholarship funding provided by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation for family members or interested members of the public that are unable to afford the fee. For more information concerning scholarships, call Kathleen Colby, 664-3608, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
A two-day workshop, “Relationships in a Dysfunctional World” presented by Suzanne Joyce, CASAC, is scheduled for Sept. 19-26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CASAC Jamestown Office on 501 W. Third St., Jamestown. The registration fee is $120.
Davina A. Moss-King, Ph.D., C.R.C, N.C.C., C.A.S.A.C., will present the last workshop in the series, “Opioid Dependence & Pregnancy” on Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Presbyterian Church, Fredonia. The fee is $45.
CASAC workshops are for professionals, and for community members that want to learn more about addictions and other related topics to improve their lives and the lives of others.
This course is also for those seeking professional credentialing as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor, Credentialed Prevention Professional or Credentialed Prevention Specialist. The hours are approved by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services and recognized and approved by the Pennsylvania Certification Board through reciprocity.
The council offers a number of professional training opportunities throughout the year. Individualized on-site training, depending upon staff needs, is available. All trainings can be designed either as an in-service training, conference or workshop.
