JHS Boys Fall, 6-1

WEST SENECA – Jamestown High School got off to rocky start in its Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 debut Tuesday afternoon.

Played in a rainstorm, West Seneca West raised its record to 3-0 by defeating the Red Raiders, 6-1.

Hunter Mancuso started the scoring at 5:05 followed by Jake Bradford at 16:45, Parker Welling at 27:00 and Adam Tobias at 30:30 for a 4-0 first half lead.

Tobias scored again in the ninth minute of the second half and Nate Roberts made it 6-0 at 16:45 before Jamestown got on the board on Adam Phillips’ goal from Dylan Lundmark at 22:10.

Travis Fye played the first half for Jamestown and made six saves. Nick Bigney made four saves in playing the second half.

West Seneca also took the junior varsity game, 3-0.
