Wheelin’ In The Fun

Children interested in winning a BMX bicycle should head to the public safety tent at Sunday’s Labor Day Festival.

Inside, two bicycles with helmets will be raffled to children between the ages of 5 and 14, courtesy of the Jamestown Police Department, the Kendall Club and the Jamestown Cycle Shop.

“We’ve been doing this for several years,” said Harry Snellings, Jamestown chief of police. “It’s just our own, small way of giving back to the kids of the community.”

The bikes – 2014 Stolen Heist models – are from the Jamestown Cycle Shop and worth $300 apiece.

The drawing will be held at 5 p.m. at the festival. Children do not need to be present during the drawing to win.
