Jamestown Man Found With Loaded Handgun, Drugs

GERRY – A Jamestown man was taken into custody Tuesday after police discovered a loaded handgun and 5 grams of marijuana inside his car.

According to the New York State Police, Jose C. Vasquez Perez, 24, was pulled over on Route 60 in Gerry for having dark-tinted windows on his car. The drugs and handgun were allegedly found after police detected an odor of marijuana.

Perez was processed at the State Police barracks in Jamestown and later arraigned in Charlotte Court.

He was committed to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
