McDonald’s Senior Tour Visits Riverside GC

ERIE – Tom Short was the winner of the White Tees Flight A, shooing a plus 4 using the modified Stableford scoring system as the McDonald’s Senior Golf Tour paid a visit to Riverside Golf Course on Monday.

Jim Rissel and Tom Szydlo both shot plus 4s to tie for second and Ross Cali was third with plus 3. David Young was the low shooter with 74.

In White Tees Flight B, Scott Vogan produced a plus 5 for first place, Brad Nunn was second with plus 2 and Larre Eidens took third with zero. Vogan also shot 93 for low gross.

Cal Malta was first in Gold Tees Flight A with plus 8, followed by Bob Wood with plus 5. Andy Scalise also had plus 5 and Wood had a 77 for low gross.

Sam Speziale was the winner of Gold Tees Flight B, shooting a plus 5, and also had an 86 for low gross, John Depew was second with plus 4 and Pete Pascatore shot plus 1 for third.

In Gold Tees Flight C action, Bob Painter led the way with plus 4, Lou Carvalho and Don Bengston were next with plus 1s and Carvalho also shot a 93 for low gross.

Ed Potter was the winner of Gold Tees Flight D, shooting plus 8 while Craig Underwood finished second with plus 5 and Harold Eckwahl took third with plus 3. Tim McConnon had the low gross with 93.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Carl Sandstrom on No. 3, David Young on No. 6, Ross Cali on No. 8, Terry Woodfield on No. 11 and Bill Greenwood on No. 13.
