Zip Line Course Opens At Peak
CLYMER – The Peek’n Peak Resort has opened its new Giant Dual Zip Lines.
The zip lines have been added to the Outdoor Adventure Course and incorporate three, six-story towers, the first at the top of the mountain, the second in the middle and the third at the bottom in front of the Sugar Shack. Guests will climb to the top of the first tower that has side-by-side zip lines offering guests the opportunity to zip alongside a friend or family member down the mountainside. The zip lines feature a series of two dual zips in two runs, the Valley View zip line and the Timber Alley zip line. Each run is 1,000 feet for a total length of almost 2,000 feet. Guests can expect to reach speeds between 40 and 50 mph on the way to the next tower.
“We are pleased to see all the excitement generated by the Outdoor Mountain Adventure Course at Peek’n Peak this summer,” said Nick Scott Sr., president of Scott Enterprises which owns Peek’n Peak Resort. “The new addition of the Giant Zip Lines enhances the experience of the Adventure Course and will make Peek’n Peak a must-do family destination.”
Guests will begin their experience with a chairlift ride to the top of the mountain. Once at the top, they will climb the spiral staircase to the first tower platform, six stories above the ground. The first zip line run is called Valley View, affording a view of the valley below. Participants will zip on dual lines, next to each other, 1,000 feet to the mid-mountain tower. Then they will transfer their trolleys to the Timber Alley zip line run and from there will descend down a tunnel of trees to the bottom platform to complete their trip down the mountain.
Once guests reach the final tower, zip liners can choose to take the spiral staircase down from the six story platform or hook on to a “Descender” where they can jump off the tower, free-falling for a fraction of a second until the “Descender” takes over and they are lowered gently to the ground. Guests can rent GoPro cameras to record their experience for friends and family.

It is anticipated the zip lines will be open year-round on weekends, so guests will be able to zip down the mountainside while watching skiers below.
