‘Culinary Force’ Showcases Her Talents For Jamestown Garden Club

The Aug. 6 meeting of the Jamestown Garden Club featured Cesca Wellman, a private chef who graduated from the California Culinary Institute in San Francisco.

For the last 10 years she has been the creative culinary force behind well-known Hess Collection Vineyards in Napa Valley. She develops special menus to showcase their wines. Wellman brought her talents to Jamestown to teach Jamestown Garden Club members how to use vegetables and herbs growing in their own gardens to garnish and make healthier meals.

The menu was minted pea soup and grilled salmon with Thai green curry sauce. Wellman also shared her recipes and philosophy about food with members, to find the freshest ingredients, let their flavors shine and share them with friends and family.
