Tracks Announce Schedule Changes

BUSTI – Heavy rains hit after the first feature last Saturday, halting any action at Stateline Speedway, forcing the Julian Buesink Memorial race autograph night at to be rescheduled for this week.

Heat races are considered complete and will not be rerun for the Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Sportsmen, Street Stocks, and Challengers. The features for those classes will be run as planned, featuring the twin 25-lap races for the Buesink Memorial, presented by Roberts Trucking. The top 20 Super Late Models for that race are locked into their starting position. Any new cars coming out to compete in this race, will run in the consolation race, where the top six cars will make the show, increasing the starting field to 26 Super Late Models.

E-Mods and Crate Late Models, which were previously off last week, will run complete shows, including their heats, B-Mains (if needed) and a feature.

Rain checks for the originally scheduled Buesink Memorial will be honored this week only.

The originally scheduled Race for Damon will be moved to Aug. 30 and celebrated on Championship Night. Fireworks will be presented that night to cap the regular season.

LITTLE VALLEY

LITTLE VALLEY – Little Valley Speedway officials announced Monday that due to a situation that developed over the weekend, and in the interest of drivers, fans and sponsors, it has become necessary to move the Mid-Summer Classic, originally scheduled for Saturday to Sunday, August 24.

In a quirk of fate, the weather intervened at Stateline Speedway last Saturday, raining out all of the features, but not before qualifying for the Super Late Model Julian Buesink Memorial was completed. Subsequently, Stateline moved its entire program to this Saturday, with the Super Lates locked into their starting positions.

Since many of those cars are regulars at Little Valley, it became obvious that there would not be enough Super Lates, Little Valley’s premier class, to give the fans the type of race they are used to seeing.

With that in mind, and because of our cooperation with Stateline Speedway and Freedom Speedway, it was determined that a move to Sunday would be the best course of action. Since the last two Little Valley programs were rained out, loyal sponsors, Coke of Buffalo and NAPA of Salamanca, have teamed up to sponsor the Sunday races. The highly anticipated massive giveaway by NAPA, which includes over $5,000 in tools and products for fans and drivers will be an integral part of the evening.

The racing program will be highlighted by the Super Late Models, racing 30 laps for $3,000 to win. Also on the card will be the 360 Late Models, with $750 at stake for the winner, the E-Mods, vying for $750 to win, the Crate Late Models, with $750 the top prize, and the Street Stocks, chasing $400 to win.
