McDonald’s Tour Plays In Union City

UNION CITY, Pa. – The McDonald’s Senior Golf Tour was in action at Union City Country Club this week and Ken Burch and Tom Vogan tied to take home White Tee Flight A after they each fired a plus two using the modified Stableford scoring system.

Randy Carlson rounded out that flight with a plus one while David Young had a 79 gross.

Leading White Tee Flight B was Scott Vogan with a plus six, Paul Edson with a plus five, Bill Roschy with a plus five and Edson was the gross leader with a 91.

Andy Scalise took home Gold Tees Flight A with a plus seven, followed by Bob Wood with a plus five and Dan Kelly with a plus four. Jim Szwejbka was the gross leader with a 78.

Joe Palermo fired a plus eight to take home Gold Tees Flight B, followed by Richard Barkstrom with a plus four and Pete Pascatore with a plus three. Barkstrom’s 87 was good for the lowest gross score.

Roger Brightman finished with a plus nine in Gold Tees Flight C, followed by Don Armstrong with plus four and Charlie Stafford a plus four. Brightman took home gross honors with a 92.

Norm Smith was the Gold Tees Flight D champion with a plus nine, followed by Harold Eckwahl with a plus five and John Widegren with a plus four.

Ed Rumiano and Craig Underwood were the gross leaders with 96s.

Herb Hern was closest to the pin on No. 4, Joe Palermo on No. 8, Chuck Jackson on No. 12 and Bob Wood on No. 14.

The next match will be at Riverside Golf Club at 9 a.m., Monday.
