Art Loft To Open Galbraith Exhibit Friday

On Friday, from 4:30-6 p.m., The Art Loft will have an opening exhibit for a featured artist, Katherine Galbraith. The Art Loft, located a quarter mile north of Chautauqua Institution, on Route 394, will be featuring Katherine’s work for two weeks.

Galbraith, a painter all her life, is the recipient of numerous awards and is a member of The Oil Painters of America. She will be the subject of September’s American Art Collectors Magazine. Her works are on exhibit at the University of Georgia, Ritz Carlton Hotels and the Sea Island Club in Sea Island, Ga.

She was educated at the National Academy Museum School of Art in New York City and at Bradford College. At the present time, she resides in Westfield, where she also owns The Station Art Gallery. She is accomplished in a number of techniques: oil, charcoal as well as pastels.

The Art Loft offers pottery, jewelry, glass, fine art, wood work, sculpture and numerous other types of items. The Art Loft represents the works of over 100 artists, both local and national.
