JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Ashley E. Matherly, 24, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and endangering the welfare of a child. At 1:01 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Newton Street for a report of two females stealing lawn solar lights. The females were located on Stowe Street near Falconer Street in possession of the lights. Matherly was in the company of an 11-year-old female when she stole the lights. She was transported to the city jail and is pending arraignment.

HANOVER – Aaron K. Joehlin, 23, of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, was charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance outside original container. Rebecca M. Oswald, 22, of Rochester was charged Tuesday with speed in zone. At 1:18 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 5/20 for speeding in Hanover. Investigation revealed that the passenger – Joehlin – was allegedly in possession of marijuana, prescription narcotics in an unlabelled container and various drug paraphernalia. They will both appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
