Area Police Reports


Christopher C. Carter, 21, of Jamestown was charged Monday with speed in zone, driving while intoxicated and DWI with blood alcohol content more than .08 percent. At 1:04 a.m., officers on East Second Street near James Avenue observed a dark-colored sedan speeding eastbound. After pulling over the vehicle, officers determined that the driver – Carter – was intoxicated. After failing field sobriety tests, Carter was transported to the city jail. He will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

A 16-year-old female from Jamestown was charged Monday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. At 11:05 a.m., police responded to an address on Broadhead Avenue for a domestic dispute. Officers spoke with the 34-year-old female who stated that her 16-year-old daughter became irate and smashed a potted plant. The 16-year-old female was located a short time later. She is currently awaiting arraignment in the city jail.


Tharesa R. Stanfield, 36, and Steven R. Patterson, 42, both of Jamestown, were charged Friday with disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment. It is alleged that Stanfield kicked and struck another person in the face during a fight in Falconer. Patterson was also involved in the fight and threatened to cause physical harm to an individual. Both were observed using numerous obscenities while police were at the scene. Patterson will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date. Stanfield was remanded to the county jail on $750/$1,500 bail. She will also appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.


HANOVER – John J. Thompson, 37, of Niagara Falls was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At 4:32 p.m., deputies received a report of a possible domestic in progress in a moving vehicle. After deputies pulled over the vehicle on Michigan Street in Sunset Bay, they found the driver – Thompson – in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. He will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.

SILVER CREEK – Jesse S. Nahrebeski, 19, of Silver Creek was charged Sunday with unauthorized burning. At 11:32 p.m., deputies responded to a loud party complaint on Lafayette Street in Silver Creek. Upon arrival, deputies observed a large fire in the backyard of the residence. Nahrebeski was identified as the person hosting the party. He will appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.


NAPOLI – Dale R. Wagantha, 31, of Little Valley was arrested Wednesday on a bench warrant issued from Cattaraugus County Court. He was transported to the county jail without bail and will appear in court at a later date.

OTTO – Samantha J. Lilley, 29, of Delevan was charged Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. with endangering the welfare of a child after a complaint of a domestic dispute between her and her boyfriend. She will appear in Otto Court at a later date.

SOUTH DAYTON – Charles H. McCracken Jr., 32, of South Dayton was charged on Aug. 5 with disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration after an incident on Mill Street in South Dayton. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $300 bail and will appear in court at a later date.


POLAND – Rebecca L. Dahlgren, 29, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment after police responded to a domestic disturbance at 21 Birch St. in Poland. After Dahlgren was taken into custody, she was placed into the backseat of the police car and proceeded to kick the rear passenger side window, eventually shattering it. She was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $20,000 bail.
