Jamestown Police Investigating Armed Robbery

Jamestown Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the 7-Eleven at 340 Allen St. in Jamestown at 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect entered the store armed with a long knife and was wearing a black ski mask over his face. The suspect ordered the employee to open the register where he obtained the cash from the drawer. The suspect then locked the employee in a back room and took a quantity of Newport King Menthol cigarettes prior to leaving the store.

The employee was uninjured.

The suspect is described as a short, young, Hispanic male – 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall. Police said he speaks broken English and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark pants. The suspect also wore dark-colored shoes with a white design and white trim and soles.
