Hidden Exclusive Grill Opens In Former Van’s Texas Hots

Philadelphia has been brought to Jamestown in the opening of The Hidden Exclusive Grill.

The new restaurant is located at 29 N. Main St., near the railroad viaduct, and is owned and operated by Jason and Lisa Frambro. Jason Frambro said the pair have been working in the restaurant business for 15 years, which led them to opening their own place. The business opened on June 11 and offers a variety of entree options.

“I can offer the people of Jamestown the same thing they can get at (other restaurants). We’ve got what they need, and they don’t have to go as far,” he said.

Frambro said he is originally from Philadelphia, so he knows the right way to prepare the sandwich the ”City of Brotherly Love” is known for producing.

“We’re the home of the Philly cheesesteak,” he said. “I’m bringing Philly to Jamestown. Come here and get your Philly cheesesteak on.”

The restaurant also specializes in breakfast, which is served all day.

“We want seniors to know they can come get an affordable breakfast for $5 on Wednesday,” he said. “We also have smoothies. We have strawberry cheesecake smoothies and blueberry cheesecake smoothies.”

Frambro said the atmosphere at The Hidden Exclusive Grill is a family-friendly environment, with jazz music playing in the background and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant will also start deliveries on Monday.

“I see a lot of potential in the business,” he said. “I want to bring a new creativity to Jamestown.”

Frambro said he likes the fact the restaurant is located in the former Van’s Texas Hots, which was opened for many years in downtown Jamestown.

“I’ve heard that was an iconic place so I want to piggyback on that success for the future,” he said.

Sam Teresi, Jamestown mayor, who ate lunch there Thursday with several city officials, said it is great to see a new restaurant in downtown Jamestown.

“I’m thrilled to see this historic site refilled and revitalized,” he said.

The business is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 485-8262 or visit www.facebook.com/thehiddenexclusivegrill.
