Cherry Creek Concert Series Continues

CHERRY CREEK – The music of the ’50s and ’60s will fill Memorial Park on Main Street on Thursday night, as “Loose Change” plays in the next portion of the 2014 Cherry Creek Gazebo Concert Series. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m., and those planning to attend are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs for seating.

Supper-type refreshments will be available.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the pavilion at the ballpark on Main Street.

Keeping with this year’s theme, “Arts In The Garden,” the art of dance will merge with the performance art of music, as concert attendees are invited to dress in their favorite ’50s garb and dance to the music on the newly installed cement dance pad.

“Folks are really enjoying the dance pad, and it has gotten quite a work out so far this season,” said Brenda Hendricks of the Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. “It should be lots of fun this week. Come join us.”

The 2014 Cherry Creek Summer Gazebo Concert Series is sponsored by the Cherry Creek Community Association Inc., and funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Regrant Program administered by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council, area businesses, the town and village of Cherry Creek, and community members.
