James Earle Band To Perform In Mayville Aug. 7
MAYVILLE – Westfield performers The James Earle Band will be the featured musicians for the Thursday, Aug. 7, Entertainment in the Park concert. The performance will be held at Lakeside Park, located along Route 394 on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in the village of Mayville from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The James Earle Band members include Jim Scriven, guitar; Tim Kelly, keyboards; and Rick Mascaro. trumpet, guitar, harmonica and bass. Between the three band members, they have been making music for over four decades. The James Earle Band entertains audiences performing oldies and classic rock ‘n’ roll. They have performed at such venues as Larry’s in Westfield, on the Summer Wind, Peek ‘n Peak Resort, Best Western Hotel in Erie, Warren Concerts in the Park, legions, Moose clubs, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Vikings on the Lake, The Casino, Italian Fisherman, as well as many others.
This band graced the Entertainment in the Park concert stage back in 2004. Rainbow the Clown (Jerry Stimson) will also be on hand to entertain the children with face painting and creative balloon sculptures. The Maple Springs Fire Department will have barbecue dinners at the performances this summer, with the Aug. 7 concert featuring a chicken barbecue. The Mayville Fire Department will also be offering popcorn and water at each of the performances as well this summer.
In case of rain, the performance will be held at the Carlson Community Center also located at Lakeside Park, Mayville. These performances are free of charge through the support and sponsorship by the town of Chautauqua and village of Mayville. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating. A 50/50 drawing will also be held at each of the concerts this summer, with the winner being announced before the end of each performance.
