Live Well Center Adds To Staff

In accordance with the expansion of the wellness program, Chautauqua Physical & Occupational Therapy welcomes Jenna Austin as the newest addition to the organization’s staff. Austin will provide support to wellness members following the exercise program created by a physical therapist. The new Live Well Center is located inside the outpatient therapy clinic.

Austin joins Chautauqua Physical & Occupational Therapy as a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia with a degree in exercise science. She served as the captain of the women’s basketball team. She is a native of Cherry Creek where she has recently purchased a home and is busy planning her wedding in early September. She enjoys competitive sports and is an avid runner.

“We are excited to add Ms. Austin to our team of health care professionals to address the fitness concerns of our community,” said Patrick Green, executive director and owner. “The new Live Well Center provides medical fitness programs for people in the general public who want a more individualized program developed by a physical therapist and implemented with supervision and guidance. The Live Well Center utilizes evidence-based exercise programs to meet the individual needs of our members and addresses some of the most common medical concerns in our society: physical activity and exercise helps people avoid cardiovascular disease, decreases risk of diabetes, improves lung function, assists with weight loss, prevents and reverses the effects of osteoporosis, decreases the risk of falls, improves cognition and helps people stay independent in all aspects of their lives.”

Chautauqua Physical & Occupational Therapy is celebrating 18 years of serving the Jamestown community by providing physical and occupational therapy in the outpatient clinic, as well as, wellness center and physical, occupational and speech services through the Early Intervention and Preschool programs sponsored by Chautauqua County Department of Health.
