JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Kris James, 54, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and following too closely. At 3:11 p.m., Jamestown police and fire officials responded to a personal-injury car accident at the intersection of East Second and Buffalo streets. Investigation revealed that a 2007 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck allegedly rear-ended a 2004 Saturn Ion. The driver of the Saturn and her two passengers were slightly injured. James was found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol content more than .08 percent. He was transported to city jail on $500.
Elba I. Figueroa, 35, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree menacing. At 4:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Forest Avenue at McKinley Avenue for a domestic incident. It was determined that Figueroa had a domestic dispute with a male victim at 35 McKinley Ave., Apartment 2. Figueroa allegedly threatened the victim with a knife, causing the victim to flee the apartment. Figueroa then went outside and broke a mirror off of the victim’s vehicle. She was transported to the city jail and is awaiting arraignment.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Rocco A. Beardsley of Falconer was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal contempt of court. It is alleged that Beardsley struck/kicked a male in the presence of a young child. Investigation also revealed that Beardsley was in violation of a valid order of protection issued by Jamestown. Beardsley will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA – Darin L. Butts, 21, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with first-degree unlawful dealing with a child and unlawful possession of marijuana. Jordan Thomas, 19, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage with intent to consume by person under 21. A 17-year-old youth from Jamestown was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage with intent to consume by person under 21. At 12:34 a.m., Butts was pulled over for speeding on Route 430 in Chautauqua. Investigation revealed that several individuals inside the vehicle were under 21 and in possession of alcohol. Butts was also found in possession of marijuana. All will appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
ALLEGANY – Andrew Brooks, 22, of North Carolina was apprehended Wednesday on a Family Court warrant. At 8:55 p.m., a sheriff’s patrol acting on an anonymous tip, discovered Brooks staying at a home on Chestnut Street in Allegany. Brooks had an active Cattaraugus County Family Court warrant. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.
SALAMANCA – Jessie M. Bryant, 22, of Great Valley was charged Thursday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate headlamps. At 12:02 a.m., a Sheriff’s Patrol on Broad Street in Salamanca pulled over Bryant’s vehicle after noticing it had only one headlight. Investigation revealed that Bryant’s driver’s license was suspended out of Chautauqua County for failure to appear to a summons. He will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.
ASHFORD – Joseph C. Martin, 38, of Albany, Ga., was charged Wednesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone following a traffic stop on Route 219 in Ashford. Investigation revealed that Martin’s driving privileges had been suspended. He was remanded to the county jail on $1,000 bail. He will appear in Ashford Court at a later date.
