Karslake To Appear On ‘Chautauqua People’
Bill Karslake will be interviewed on the next edition of “Chautauqua People.” The program will air at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day beginning on Saturday with the last airing on Aug. 1.
A native of Kenilworth, Ill., he graduated from New Trier High School and Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. He spent his childhood and college summers at Chautauqua Institution. Chautauqua contacts led to a career in the furniture industry based in Hickory, N.C.
Karslake joined the Chautauqua Institution board of trustees and subsequently served as its chairman. During his tenure he oversaw cleanup of the Chautauqua waterfront, acquisition of the Turner School complex, and reorganization of the Trustees’ Committee structure.
Karslake will be interviewed by John Viehe, “Chautauqua People” producer.
Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Mayville, Chautauqua, North Harmony, Sherman, Westfield and Portland areas. Viewers should note that all area public access channels have been dropped from Time Warner’s analog service, but can be received on digital service with a converter or on a digital television (channel 21.4) that has been recently autoscanned.
