JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

An unidentified 18-year-old from Jamestown was charged Sunday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. At 2 a.m., officers noticed suspicious individuals in the area of 39 S. Main St. When officers stopped and talked with them, an 18-year-old was allegedly found in possession of a switchblade knife and a quantity of marijuana. He was transported to the city jail.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Daniel S. Geiger, 22, of Westfield was charged on June 6 with petit larceny. It is alleged that Geiger stole a knife from a family member and then sold it. He was picked up on an outstanding arrest warrant and remanded to the county jail on bail.

Jason D. Gugino, 23, of Dunkirk was charged on June 8 with fifth-degree arson, second-degree criminal mischief and sixth-degree conspiracy. On June 8, police responded to a camping area off of Route 380 to investigate damage to county-owned property. Gugino was picked up on a warrant and remanded to the county jail.

Daniel L. Smouse, 49, of Panama was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct. Police were called to the Home Depot at 935 Fairmount Ave. for a disorderly male in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers located Smouse, who allegedly had a verbal argument with two females in the parking lot over a parking issue. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Michael J. Patterson of Jamestown was charged Sunday with fourth-degree criminal mischief for allegely puncturing the tires of an Ellicott resident. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CHAUTAUQUA – Philip D. Demambro, 72, of Sherman was charged Sunday with speeding, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. At 5:17 p.m., Demambro was pulled over by deputies for speeding. It is alleged that he was driving while intoxicated. He will appear in Chautauqua Court at a later date.

CLYMER – Cheryl A. Cole, 58, of Panama was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated common law, aggravated DWI with blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater, moving from lane unsafely and speed not reasonable or prudent. At 8:28 p.m., deputies came across a vehicle in a ditch on Waits Corners Road. The driver – Cole – appeared to be in a intoxicated state. She will appear in Clymer Court at a later date.

CASSADAGA – Shawn A. Cavender, 45, of Cassadaga was charged Sunday with criminal mischief. At 4:10 p.m., Cavender was involved in a dispute in which he damaged a sliding door at a residence. He was committed to the county jail and will appear in Charlotte Court at a later date.
