Area Police Reports



SALAMANCA – Lucille A. Halsaver, 68, of Salamanca was charged on June 29 at 12:38 p.m. with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation due to an insurance lapse. She will appear in Salamanca Court at a later date.

GREAT VALLEY – Raymond E. King, 53, of Salamanca, was charged on June 27 at 9:30 p.m. with driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operator and failure to maintain lane. He will appear in Great Valley Court at a later date.

SALAMANCA – Andrew J. Jaquish, 28, of Killbuck was charged on June 24 with fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree criminal contempt, two counts of second-degree menacing and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Jaquish was arrested after he stole a truck from Great Valley and drove it to Salamanca where he ended up in a domestic incident with a female victim. Jaquish allegedly pointed a bow and arrow at her and another female victim. He then left the area and later threatened one of the female victims on the phone. Deputies found Jaquish walking on Route 417 in Killbuck. He was transported to Little Valley Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He will appear in Little Valley Court at a later date.

FREEDOM – Darin Wierzbic, 33, of Freedom was charged on July 5 with fourth-degree criminal mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana. At 12:26 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence on Route 98 in Sandusky for a domestic disturbance involving Wierzbic and a female. Wierzbic allegedly damaged a window screen and window molding in an attempt to gain entry to the residence after being locked out. Wierzbic was apprehended and found to be in possession of marijuana. He will appear in Freedom Court on a later date.

SALAMANCA – Sharon L. John, 54, of Salamanca, was charged on July 5 at 8:14 a.m. with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and failure to maintain lane after the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of an erratic driver on 417 Carrollton, continuing onto I-86.

ALLEGANY – Jake R. Rickey, 19, of Olean, was charged on July 2 at 6:15 p.m. with petit larceny after he stole $45.21 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. He will appear in Allegany Court at a later date.

ALLEGANY – Russell S. Tallentire, 24, of Bradford, Pa., was charged on June 30 at 2:30 p.m. with petit larceny following a shoplifting incident at the Allegany Wal-Mart. He will appear in Allegany Court at a later date.

LITTLE VALLEY – Preston J. Quinn, 20, and a 17-year-old male, both of Little Valley, were charged on July 3 at 7 p.m. with unlawful possession of marijuana after both were found with a small amount at a Sixth Street address in Little Valley. They will appear in Little Valley Court at a later date.
