Pair Charged After Breaking Into Closed Ripley Motel
RIPLEY – Two Pennsylvania residents were charged on July 10 after allegedly breaking into a closed Ripley motel last month and spraying graffiti inside.
Investigation revealed that Natalie Knoll, 21, of Erie, Pa., and Broderick McGarvey, 23, of Harbor Creek, Pa., gained entry into the Colonial Squire on June 17 by forcing a rear door open.
Further investigation revealed numerous graffiti spray paintings on the lobby wall of the Shortman Road motel and in the men’s room.
A report of a male and a female wearing backpacks near the motel led to their discovery.
Both Knoll and McGarvey were charged with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree burglary.
They were processed at the state police barracks in Fredonia and will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.
