Sinclairville Woman Driving Drunk With Children Charged
A Sinclairville woman was charged after police found her intoxicated and in possession of marijuana with two children inside her vehicle.
According to the New York State Police, Lacey J. Tardif, 26, was pulled over on Second Street in Jamestown after running several red lights on July 2.
State troopers, detecting a strong odor of alcohol inside the vehicle, transported Tardif to the State Police barracks in Jamestown where a blood alcohol content of .14 percent was obtained.
They also observed her emptying a baggie of marijuana.
Tardif, whose 2-year-old daughter was in the vehicle, was arraigned in Ellicott Court on a felony charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger less than 16 years of age, a felony charge of destroying physical evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Kelsey A. Raynor, 27, of Sinclairville was also inside the vehicle with her 1-year-old daughter. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
Tardif was committed to Chautauqua County Jail pending bail recommendation by the District Attorney’s Office.
