Man Stabbed In City; Suspect At Large

Jamestown Police are on the lookout for a male suspect allegedly responsible for an early morning stabbing Thursday.

The incident, which occurred at 3 a.m. near 823 Prendergast Ave., involved the male suspect stabbing a male victim in the chest.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at WCA Hospital, police said.

According to Captain Robert F. Samuelson, division commander of the Jamestown Police Department, the incident was not drug-related.

The victim and suspect also knew each other, he said.

Details on the description of the suspect have yet to be released.

An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
