CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HANOVER – Nathan A. Kohler, 27, of Forestville was charged on July 7 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and loud exhaust. Haley M. Izzio-Smock, 21, of Forestville was also charged on July 7 with facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation. At 8:40 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Bennett Road in Hanover for a traffic violation. Deputies observed the driver and front-seat passenger switch positions. The alleged original driver – Kohler – had a revoked New York State driver’s license for prior driving while intoxicated incidents. Both will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.

ELLERY – Dennis A. Lyamkin, 17, of Solon, Ohio, was charged on July 4 with moving from lane unsafely and zero tolerance operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol under the age of 21. At 11:43 p.m., deputies received a call of a vehicle off the road on Pickard Road in Ellery. Upon arrival, deputies located an unoccupied vehicle in a ditch. With K9 Drago’s assistance, deputies located Lyamkin at a camp a short distance up the road. Investigation revealed that he was the driver of the vehicle and had consumed alcohol prior to driving. Lyamkin will appear for a New York State Department of Motor Vehicles hearing under the Zero Tolerance law.

GERRY – Stephanie L. Lodestro, 24, of Falconer was charged June 29 with driving while intoxicated, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and speeding. At 3:12 a.m., a sheriff’s patrol pulled over a speeding driver on Route 60 in Gerry. Investigation revealed that the driver – Lodestro – was intoxicated. She will appear in Gerry Court at a later date.

RIPLEY – Joseph F. Kubasik Jr., 58, of Sherman was charged July 1 with no stop lamp, failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. At 7:12 p.m., deputies pulled over Kubasik for driving a car with only one functional brake lamp and for failing to keep right. Investigation revealed that he was intoxicated and had revoked driving privileges in New York state. He will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

ASHFORD – Peter G. Whelan, 62, of Bradford, Pa., was charged on June 30 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to stop at a stop sign. At 2:02 a.m., Whelan was traveling westbound on Peters Road in Ashford when he was pulled over by a patrol for failing to stop at a stop sign. Investigation revealed that his driving privileges were revoked. He was remanded in the county jail on $1,000 bail. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Ellicottville Police Department.
