Heritage Ministries Golf Tourney Scheduled Aug. 25 At CGC
On Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m., Heritage Ministries will hold its 13th annual Golf Challenge on the Lake Course at Chautauqua Golf Club Lake Club.
Registration is at at 9 a.m. and there will be a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.
The proceeds from the event will be used for Heritage Ministries Wheelchair Van fund. Last year, thanks to the support of thesponsors and golfers, the 2013 Golf Challenge raised more than $18,000.
Last year’s winning team was Sandee’s Catering-Deli-Bakery.
This year Heritage Ministries is announcing a new format and time. The challenge will follow the scramble format. The earlier start time (10:30 a.m.) will allow participants to enjoy the day of golf without the stress of a long day.
There will be prizes awarded for first through third place, there will be two awards for closest to the pin, two awards for longest drive, one award for the closest to the line and a prize for the putting challenge. The day features a lunch at the turn and giveaways.
The fee is $150 per player and $50 of the fee will be receipted as a charitable donation to Heritage Ministries.
