Jamestown Police Seek Two Suspects Following Home Invasion, Stabbing
The Jamestown Police Department is searching for two suspects after an early morning stabbing and home invasion on Hedges Street.
At 1:08 a.m., police responded to 100 Hedges St. for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers were advised two males entered the home armed with knives and stabbed an occupant in the chest before robbing residents of cash and other property.
Police said this was not a random act of violence. The location and occupants were targeted by the suspects.
Suspects were reportedly wearing clothing to cover their faces, but one suspect is believed to be a black male with darker skin, according to police. The other male is reportedly lighter skinned, based on information police received from witnesses.
Suspects fled the location prior to the arrival of police.
The victim was transported from the scene by Alstar ambulance and is currently being treated at WCA Hospital for his injuries. The victim, whose name has not been released, is listed in stable condition, police said.
Anyone with information on the identities of the two suspects should contact JPD at 483-7537, or they can leave an anonymous tip at 483-8477(TIPS). All calls will be kept confidential.
