Salamanca Board Of Education Reorganizes
SALAMANCA – Annual reorganization of the Salamanca City Central School District took place with familiar faces in leadership at a recent meeting.
With Eric Butler retaining the gavel as president of the Board of Education, and Theresa Ray his vice president, the district board established the requisite officials and policies for the 2014-15 school year.
To be ready for the fall sports season, since practices tend to start prior to the start of the new year, the following list of coaching positions were established by members of the board:
Varsity Football – Jason Marsh
Assistant Varsity Football – Travis Happoldt
JV Football – Paul Haley
Swing Football – Dustin Ross
Varsity Volleyball – Brandy Kinney
Varsity Swimming – Laurie John
Co-Assistant Varsity Swimming – Lori McArthur
Co-Assistant Varsity Swimming -Kristin Schmick
Girls’ Tennis – Rich Morton
Girls’ Varsity Soccer – Michelle Hill
Boys’ Varsity Soccer – Steve DeGroff
Boys’ Modified Soccer – Keith Kreitzbender
Football Cheerleading Marlene Pierce
Members of the board have also established the following as the calendar of meetings for the year, maintaining the second and fourth Tuesday as the meeting day. The second meeting of the month at 6:30 p.m. would be as needed.
July 22, Aug. 12 and 26, Sept. 9 and 23, Oct. 14 and 28, Nov. 18, Dec. 9, Jan. 13 and 27, Feb. 10 and 24, March 10 and 24, April 14 and 28 with a special meeting April 21, May 12 and 26 June 9 and 23.
The annual budget vote will take place May 19.
Board meetings take place in the large group instruction room of the high school, located at 50 Iroquois Drive, Salamanca.
