Ellsworth D. Rumbaugh Sr.

Ellsworth D. Rumbaugh Sr., 80, of Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing, formerly of Frewsburg, died, Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Heritage Village.

He was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Dayton, Pa., the son of Lawrence and Margaret Smith Rumbaugh.

Before retiring, he had been employed at the form-er Blackstone Corp., was former chief for the Frewsburg Fire Dept., and en-joyed hunting, golfing, and bingo.

Ellsworth is survived by two daughters: Cynthia (Eric) Blackwell of James-town and Barbara Pratt (Brian Horner) of Sugar Grove, Pa.; three sons: Randal (Julie) Rumbaugh, Timothy (EJ) Rumbaugh of Frewsburg, and Ellsworth (Rhonda) Rumbaugh Jr. of Zephyrhills, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Macey, Charleen, Sadie, and Donald Myers, Matthew Rumbaugh, Nicholas and Paige Pratt; two great-grandchildren: Katelyn and Elizabeth Bemis; and two brothers; Lawrence (Hazel) Rumbaugh and Richard (Kathleen) Rumbaugh of Frewsburg.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane (Pina) Rumbaugh; four brothers: Robert, Harry, Harold and Woodrow Rumbaugh; and three sisters: June McGuire, Marie Taylor and Betty Schaffer.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Ronald Lemon, pastor of Koinonia Christian Fellow-ship, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
