JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Navorria S. Green, 19, of Jamestown, was charged Friday with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of obstructing governmental administration, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree menacing and third-degree assault. Amber L. Conrad, 29, of Jamestown, was charged Friday with endangering the welfare of a child and obstruction of governmental administration. At 1:14 a.m., officers were dispatched to Sturges Street for a physical dispute. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with a victim who stated that his girlfriend-Green-had destroyed property around the residence and physically harmed him. He stated this all happened in the presence of their 2-month-old son and that his girlfriend left with the child on foot. At 2:54 a.m., police were informed that the suspect returned to the residence with a child and another female. Officers attempted to make contact with Green, but she would not answer the door, according to police. Police eventually entered and located Green and the child hiding in a closet. In addition, Conrad was located hiding in a closet, police said. The two suspects had refused to come out and hid behind the child to avoid the K-9 unit, police said. Officers secured the child and charged the two suspects.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Cinnamon Swanson, 42, of Jamestown, was charged Saturday with petit larceny after she left the Dollar General store with merchandise in her purse, police said. She will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CHAUTAUQUA-Ryan C. Jaynes, 30, of Westfield, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated common law and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher. At 1:38 a.m., deputies observed a vehicle parked on the side of Route 394 near Beaujean Road in Chautauqua. Further investigation revealed that the driver-Jaynes-was intoxicated, police said. He will appear in Chautauqua Court at a later date.
