Two-Car Accident Sends 5-Year-Old To WCA
A 5-year-old boy was sent to WCA Hospital on Wednesday afternoon following a two-car accident at a city intersection.
Shortly after 3 p.m., a Jamestown woman-whose name was not released- was traveling southbound on North Main Street, preparing to make a right turn onto West First Street.
As she slowed down to make the turn, a Hyundai Elantra, which was also traveling southbound on North Main Street, rear-ended the Camry and sustained significant front-end damage.
The driver of the Elantra, an unidentified woman, was traveling with her two young children. Her 5-year-old son sustained minor injuries to his face and neck due to the seat belt. He was transported to WCA Hospital via Alstar Ambulance for precautionary measures. The woman and her other child were uninjured.
The Jamestown woman was also traveling with a child. Both were uninjured.
Jamestown police and fire officials responded to the scene. Charges are pending further investigation.
