JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Evelyn Martinez, 36, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree menacing. At 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a Chautauqua Avenue address for a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that Martinez slapped, pushed and pulled the hair of the victim numerous times during an argument. It was also found that Martinez threatened to cut the victim with a knife during the argument. Martinez was transported to city jail and is awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Scott L. Crowl, 43, of Lakewood was charged Monday with second-degree harassment. It is alleged that Crowl made threats to kill a female subject which caused her alarm and serious annoyance. He was transported to the county jail with bail set at $500/$1,000. He is due back in Busti Court at a later date.

Daniel K. Witmore, 45, of Sugar Grove, Pa., was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated. Witmore was driving eastbound on Busti-Stillwater Road when he swerved and went off the road and struck a tree. Whitmore’s wife, who was in the vehicle, was transported to WCA Hospital for injuries. Witmore will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

BEMUS POINT – Dustin D. Wilson, 29, of Dewittville was charged Sunday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no seat belt. At 5:25 p.m., deputies pulled over Wilson on Center Road in Bemus Point for driving without a seat belt. Investigation revealed that Wilson’s driver’s license was suspended. He will appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

SHERMAN – John F. Orosz, 62, of Fredonia was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit a chemical test and refusal to take a breath test. At 8:30 p.m., deputies arrested Orosz on Wait Corners Road in Sherman for DWI. He was also charged after refusing to take a breath test and submitting a chemical test. He was remanded to the county jail.
