Vern E. Wright

CHERRY CREEK – Vern E. Wright, 54, a welder and union carpenter for Benchley Construction, where he worked for 18 years, died Monday, July 7, 2014, at Bear Lake Campground in Stockton, N.Y.

He was born Sept. 23, 1959, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late LaVern and Joan (Zimmerman) Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Tracie R. Kilby Wright, whom he married on Nov. 24, 1984, of Conewango Valley, N.Y.; two sons: Travis E. (Roxanne) Wright of Gowanda, N.Y., and Luke T. Wright of Conewango Valley, N.Y.; a grandson, Nathan E. Wright of Gowanda, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Sarah L. Taft of Gowanda, N.Y.; a brother, Thomas Wright of Dolgeville, N.Y.; seven sisters: Marlene Barrie of Palm Harbor, Fla., Laurie Waite of Cattaraugus, N.Y., Cammy Lulas of Leon, N.Y., Diane Weink of Cattaraugus, N.Y., Christine Kilby of Laingsburg, Minn., Kathy Allen of Gowanda, N.Y., and Julie Farnhan of Leon, N.Y.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Larry Wright and Daniel Wright; and his sister, Donna Wright.

Visitation will be held at the Hills Funeral Chapel, 478 Balcom Corners, South Dayton on Friday from 6-9 p.m.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
