Half Of Jury Seated In Fredonia Murder Trial
Six out of 12 seats have already been filled on the jury in the Fredonia murder trial for former One Temple Square resident Jason P. Wells.
Chautauqua County Courthouse Chief Clerk Kathleen Krauza informed media Tuesday afternoon that half the jury has been seated. She added jury selection is set to continue today at 9:30 a.m.
At least two alternate jurors have yet to be chosen, as well.
Wells is accused of stabbing and beating fellow One Temple Square resident Ruth Fisk, a retired, nurse, to death in February 2010. He was 37 at that time and was indicted and charged with second-degree murder.
If convicted, Wells faces a minimum of 15 years to life in state prison and a maximum of 25 years to life.
