Kenneth E. Bromley
LEON – Kenneth E. Bromley, 85, died Monday, June 23, 2014, at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.
He was born June 18, 1929, in the town of Villenova, N.Y., the son of the late Elmer and Gertrude (Towne) Bromley.
Ken owned and operated a milk hauling business, Bromley’s Bulk Milk Service Inc., in South Dayton, where he worked for 36 years. He then was president of the partnership of Arkwright Brine & Gas Co Inc., and later contracted with Desert Gas Exploration Inc.
He attended the Assembly of God Church in Cherry Creek, was a former member of Leon Drum & Bugle Corps and the Pine Valley Saddle Club, and the board of Fire Commissioners of Leon. He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose in Randolph and the NRA.
Ken will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, woodcrafts and leather crafts. He mounted many deer antlers for family and friends. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol B. ”Midge” Bromley of Conewango Valley, N.Y.; a son, Jeffrey E. (Patricia) Bromley of Leon, N.Y.; two daughters: Brenda J. Cooper of Kennedy, N.Y., and Marsha J. Mora of Soquel, Calif.; two sisters: Ruth Milliman of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Loris J. Hill of Leon; his grandchildren: John K. Bromley, Ryan E. Cooper, Jodi L, Oakes, Sabrina M. Howell, Shawnee Mora, Nikki Ritchie and Megan L. Cooper; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elwood Hilliman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Hills Funeral Chapel, 478 Balcom Corners, South Dayton, N.Y. The Rev. Kenneth Pratt of Cherry Creek Assembly of God, will officiate. Burial will be in the Burnham Hollow in the town of Arkwright.
Visitation will be held at Hills Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 6-9 p.m.
