JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Rudy J. DaMonti III, 32, of Ripley was charged Thursday with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing/blood circulation and endangering the welfare of a child. At 11:39 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Barrows Street where an argument was occurring. Upon arrival, officers could see DaMonti kicking the victim. Officers entered the residence and took DaMonti into custody without incident. He was transported to city jail where he is pending arraignment. Further investigation revealed that DaMonti had also choked the victim and that the entire incident occurred in front of a three-year-old child.

Clarissa R. Kohl, 20, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal trespass. At 4:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to 352 E. Fourth St. for an earlier trespass complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male victim who stated a female entered his apartment through a window without his permission. While speaking with the victim, officers observed a female suspect walking down the sidewalk in front of the residence. The suspect – identified as Kohl – was found to have unlawfully entered the residence. She was transported to city jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

POMFRET – Joshua M. Link, 23, of Fredonia was charged Friday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no seatbelt. At 11:31 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 60 in Pomfret after observing the driver not wearing a seat belt. Investigation revealed that the driver – Link – had suspended driving privileges in New York state. Link also had an active felony arrest warrant in Jamestown. He was turned over to the Jamestown Police.
