JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Charles H. Monroe, 22, of Jamestown, was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred Saturday morning. At approximately 2:39 a.m., officers on patrol in the area of Cherry Street and West Third Street observed Monroe starting a fist fight with another subject. Monroe was taken into custody and transported to the city jail, where he was charged for fighting in public. He is being held on bail.
Tyler J. Langworthy, 21, of Jamestown, received multiple charges following a traffic stop Saturday. At approximately 12:11 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on East Second Street, near Buffalo Street, for speeding. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Langworthy, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated without incident and transported to the city jail. Langworthy was charged with DWI, DWI per se, speed in zone, unsafe tires, broken windshield and violation of open container laws. He is currently awaiting arraignment by the city court.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
HANOVER – Hannah K. Jordan, 20, and Nicholas E. Degolier, 21, both of Forestville, were charged following a traffic stop Saturday. At approximately 1:26 p.m., sheriff’s deputies observed a motor vehicle operating with an expired inspection tag on Allegheny Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, Jordan was identified as the driver of vehicle and a search of the vehicle ensued. During the search, it was found that Jordan and her passenger, Degolier, were in possession of a quantity of marijuana and paraphernalia. Both were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, and Jordan was also cited for having an uninspected motor vehicle. They were released with appearance tickets to appear in Hanover court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – Thomas E. Taggart, 59, of Silver Creek, was charged Saturday with unsafely moving from lane, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. At approximately 1:58 a.m., sheriff’s deputies observed a white pickup truck move unsafely from the driving lane on Main Street. Upon investigation, Taggart was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was subsequently charged, issued traffic tickets and released to a sober party. Taggart will appear in Silver Creek court at a later date.
POMFRET – Mary Kujawa, 56, of Dunkirk, was charged Saturday following an incident which allegedly occurred June 8 on Berry Road. She was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree trespassing and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Kujawa was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges in Pomfret court at a later date.
