Twenty-one members and three guests attended a recent meeting held in Bethel Lutheran Church, hosted by Christina Jones, Shirley Edgren and Maureen Hills. Winifred Seeley spoke on her experience as a child growing up in England during World War II. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read. Jones gave the membership report. Donations of cash and items were received for the Boys and Girls Club and items of clothing and toiletries will be taken to the Union Rescue Mission. Items can be taken to any meeting and will be distributed accordingly.

Cecile Wilson, secretary, spoke on a program that is collecting manufacturer’s coupons to be sent to a military base overseas. These coupons can be used up to six months beyond their expiration dates. She asked that members bring their unused coupons, clipped or unclipped, to meetings and she will see that they are included in this program.

Janet Thom told of a program that uses plastic bags to be crocheted into mats. She is willing to accept them from anyone wanting to bring in their extra bags.
