Randolph Presbyterian Church To Hold Yard Sale For Mission Saturday
RANDOLPH – Both local community and worldwide organizations will benefit from the annual Mission Yard Sale at Randolph United Presbyterian Church on Saturday. The event is part of the Randolph Arts and Crafts celebration.
Linda Inkley, chairperson, said that good used items are always needed such as furniture and small appliances. For pickup, call Inkley at 358-6042. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon.
Mission events benefit such projects as Randolph Community Cupboard, Genesis House, Community Garden, youth mission trips, disaster relief, St. Susan Center, surgery assistance, Prison Ministry and Presbytery of WNY. Worldwide assistance is given to Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan Purse, EquipIndia, Heifer International, One Great Hour of Sharing and others. Nearly $20,000 is given annually, some as designated funds.
On Sunday, the adult choir will present “Sing for Joy,” the celebration of favorite anthems sung throughout the year. This music worship begins at 10:40 and is open to the public. Carol Brown is music director and Erika Connor is accompanist. Special music will be presented by Susan Ashdown, Barry Shields and Donna Chubon, among others. A large crowd is expected on this day to enjoy the choir’s dedication and love of music.
