Network With The Chamber On The Beach June 19
Did you know that Chautauqua County is home to one of the best beaches in Western New York? And did you know that you can experience this northern Chautauqua treasure during a unique networking event with the Chamber of Commerce on June 19?
Join us for a summer kickoff at Cabana Sam’s Sunset Bay Grill, on South Shore Drive in Irving. Chamber members can experience the glorious summertime, beachside ambience of a clean, daily groomed, 5-acre beach on Lake Erie, all while networking with fellow Chamber members.
The Chamber is proud to hold this event at such a tremendous venue. We hope to make it a fabulous kickoff for the summer beach season, and also to use this special event to thank those who worked so hard on the Repower Dunkirk movement to be certain that NRG would have a presence in our county for years to come.
Chamber members and prospective members are invited to attend. This Experience Chautauqua Networking Event will be held on Thursday, June 19 from 5-6:30 p.m. It is sponsored by Casella Waste Services, Jamestown Jammers Baseball, Liazon Corporation, OBSERVER, Putnam Record Insurance Agency and The Post-Journal.
The cost is just $10 for those who are pre-registered, or $12 for walk-ins at the door. There will be free appetizers, a cash bar, lots of door prizes, and great opportunities to network with your fellow Chamber members. Register now by calling 366-6200 or 484-1101 or sign up online at www.chautauquachamber.org.
Touch-A-Truck And Chamber/Aspire Night At The Jammers
Home opener weekend for the Jamestown Jammers promises to be terrific this year, with two fabulous events on tap for Saturday that will be fun for the whole family.
The first is Touch-A-Truck, to be held just outside Russell E. Diethrick Jr. Park from 4:30-7 p.m. This special afternoon will allow people of all ages to see, touch and learn about vehicles they may not have had a chance to see before, ranging from specialty cars to trucks of all sizes and for all uses. The carnival atmosphere will also include music, a dunk tank and bounce houses by Bounce About Inflatables and food by 3C’s Catering. Unique vehicles signed up to participate are a semi, cement mixer, Zamboni, emergency response vehicle, police, ambulance, and fire vehicles, an off-road dump truck, specialty equipment, and many other exciting trucks to explore. Touch-A-Truck is free to attend and is sponsored by Aspire of WNY, Shults Auto Group, the Jamestown Jammers, and the Jamestown Community and Chautauqua County Chambers of Commerce.
Then, at 7 p.m., the Jammers game begins. It’s Chamber Night at the Ballpark, which means Chamber members can contact the Chamber for free tickets to the game. You can also purchase tickets to win one of two amazing top prizes: a Pittsburgh weekend getaway which includes four tickets to the Aug. 30 Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cincinnati Reds game, an overnight stay at any Pittsburgh Red Roof Inn, and a $100 Visa gift card; or a 55-inch Vizio LED TV. The winners will be drawn during the seventh inning, so there will be plenty of opportunity to enter the drawing, both during the Touch-A-Truck event and the Jammers game.
All prizes have been generously donated by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Jamestown Jammers, Red Roof Inn, and the Jamestown Community and Chautauqua County Chambers of Commerce. Additional second-chance prizes are being donated by Jamestown Chamber members. You do not need to be present to win, but we would love to see you at the game.
