JAMESTOWN BABE RUTH 13-15

Collin DePonceau pitched a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts as Jamestown Savings Bank cruised past Combined Life 12-1.

Jeremy Becker also produced two hits, including a double, for the winners.

Niko Pannes scored Combined Life’s run in the fourth inning after reaching on a walk.

JAMESTOWN CAL RIPKEN MAJORS

Zack Hamilton ripped a double to lead Ecklofs to a 12-8 win over Lewis & Lewis.

Katie Falkowski, Cooper Thomas, Josh Martin and Tyler Swegles were offensive standouts and Dan O’Brien was named defensive player of the game.

For Lewis & Lewis, Zack Breeding delivered three hits, Cooper Pannes doubled and Kyle Dean added two hits.

The Veterans of Modern Warfare topped Hallenbeck Antiques.

For the winners, Elijah Rojas and Michael Scalise teamed up on the mound to earn the win.

Nolan Scoma starred on offense for Hallenbeck’s.

JAMESTOWN CAL RIPKEN ROOKIES

True Value took a doubleheader from Lutheran Social Services.

Marcus Merced had four hits with a double and Anthony Rodriguez Jr. added four hits as well for True Value.

Braiden Patterson, Michael Jaabczynski and Trenton Kendall stroked three hits and Logan McIntosh a double for the winners.

For LSS, Nate Cornell belted out three hits with a double, Connor Bush and Ben Cornell also lashed three hits, and Joe Mistretta, Reagan Powers and Eian Cooley two hits.

SOUTHERN TIER BB ROOKIES

On May 23, the Tigers edged the Cardinals, 1-0, as Peter Conley racked up two hits and Sam Livingston scored the lone run of the game. Jonas Gesing was named the defensive player of the game.

Laken Chopre was the defensive star for the Cardinals and Lucas Svenson had two hits.

The Indians topped the Royals, 8-4, on May 24 as Ryan Ohl stroked a pair of hits, Isabella Hurlburt had her first hit of the season and Isaac Pope was selected as the defensive player of the game.

For the Royals, Kylar Wojtowicz earned defensive player honors and Seth Johnson slammed a double.

SOUTHERN TIER BB MINORS

The Blue Jays held off the Orioles, 9-8, on May 27 as Henry Marshall collected two hits and Spencer Kane added a triple and drove in three runs. He also had six strikeouts in three innings to earn the victory.

For the Orioles, Dominic Valvala stroked three hits, including a triple, Ashton Munson was named as the defensive standout playing three positions and Sy Farrell pitched three innings with five strikeouts.

On May 28, the Pirates beat the Nationals, 12-1 as Dominic Certo connected for two hits, scored twice and had three RBIs and Ethan McNamara added two hits. Max Vaughn also struck out two.

Drew Wigren had three strikeouts in a single inning and Steve Ryan doubled for the Nationals.

SOUTHERN TIER TRAVEL LEAGUE U-10

The Southwestern Gladiators edged the Evans Eagles, 3-2 as Callon Barron, Griffin Bogdanowicz, Ashton Bushey and Aiden Kennedy combined for the victory on the mound,

Josh Truver doubled and scored twice and Walker Perry was the defensive star.

VALLEY LEAGUE

The Gerry Jammers topped the Cassadaga Reds, 18-9.

Leading the Jammers were Zach Sisson with two hits, Carter Sisson smashed a three-run homer and Nick Denslow, Isaac Wenger, Danielle Krenzer and Austin Main all contributed to the offense.

VALLEY MINOR LEAGUE

Kynan Egan, Kolton Gibbons and John Brocklebunk all stroked three hits with Egan tripling twice as the Sinclairville Cardinals outlasted the Sinclairville Rangers, 12-7.

Quinton Shreeve also homered for the winners. Hunter Lewis and Kaden Daughenbaugh split four hits in defeat.

CITY SLO-PITCH

Gametime battled to a 15-14 victory in ten innings, thanks to an RBI double by Scott Meacham.

Mike Ordines drilled four hits with a double and Brian Gibbs and Shane Silliman both added three hits apiece.

CITY REC BASEBALL

The B&L Yankees cruised to an 18-9 win over the Gamers Haven Tigers as Trinity Fred connected for three hits, including a grand slam homer.

Devon Hillman collected a double, triple and a home run and Rickyjo Dean produced two hits including a 3-run homer.

For the Tigers, Conner McKay slammed a triple and two singles and Daniel Stenstrom and Cameron Darling both had two hits.

SO. TIER BR SOFTBALL MAJORS

Maren Saracki did the pitching and Hanna Johnson had a double as Carlton Homes defeated Frewsburg Lanes.

Jayna Jones fared well in the hitting department for the winners.

Katelyn Coleson did the hitting and Kiah Johnson was superb on defense for Frewsburg Lanes.

SO. TIER BR SOFTBALL MINORS

Decker Excavating beat Chris Keefe Builders, 14-5.

Alex McKee was the defensive standout and Emma Gleason shined on offense for the CK Builders.

FALCONER LITTLE LEAGUE

Jacob Payne and Ryan Stimson combined for 11 strikeouts as Bloomquist Landscaping downed Ideal Coatings, 4-1.

Stimson aided his own cause with two hits while Payne made two fine defensive plays for the winners.

Matt Gullotti fanned 10 and tripled in the only run and Addison Dove stroked two hits in the loss.
