McDonald’s Senior Tour Visits Pine Acres

BRADFORD, Pa. – The McDonald’s Senior Golf Tour paid a visit to Pine Acres Country Club on Monday and using the modified Stableford scoring system, Jim Szwejbka led Flight A with plus 7, followed by Dick Woodfield with plus 3 and Ray Glasgow also had plus 3

Szwejbka also fired a 76 for the low gross.

In Flight B, Jim Watt and Bill Davenport both fired plus 6s and Carl Sandstrom shot plus 5 and had an 85 for the low gross.

Joe Palermo topped Flight C with plus 7, Denny Swan was next with plus 6 and Roger Brightman took third with plus 4. Palermo and Swan tied for the low gross with 88

Scott Vogan won Flight D with plus 6, Dave Chall and Don Volk both had plus 5s and Vogan was the low gross leader with 93.

In Flight E, Bill Saulgiver was first with plus 6, Craig Underwood placed second with plus 4 and Bob Painter had plus 3 with Underwood earning low-gross honors with 99.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Bill Hart on No. 3, Jim Rissel on No. 7, Ross Cali on No. 13 and Tom Szydlo on No. 17.

The McDonald’s Tour travels to the Hill Course at Chautauqua Golf Club on Monday, beginning at 9 a.m.
