Fredonia History Days To Take Place In July

Festivals Fredonia has announced its first festival of 2014 – Fredonia History Days on July 18 and 19.

As in past years, all area historical agencies and historians are welcome to host a booth in the local history tent on Saturday, July 19, at no charge as way to help share history with visitors. All that is required is to contact Fredonia History Days chairman Todd Langworthy at 679-9436 or by email at todd.langworthy@ by July 1.

New this year will be a local author’s tent on Saturday, July 19, which is designed to give all local authors of historical books the opportunity to share their work with the public. Authors will also be given the opportunity to be a part of a Saturday morning lecture on a topic of their work.

Local historical authors are also invited to participate at no charge in an effort to help share history with the many visitors to the festival. Authors should contact chairman Todd Langworthy as well to reserve their spot and set up a lecture if they wish.

The preliminary schedule for the Fredonia History Days weekend is available at Festivals Fredonia is also on Facebook. Watch for more announcements in the coming weeks.
