A Rainbow Cab was struck by another vehicle Monday, sending its female passenger to WCA Hospital.
At approximately 11:45 a.m., the Rainbow Cab was traveling southbound on Howard Avenue when it was struck by a Chevy Lumina traveling eastbound on Westminster Drive.
According to Ellicott Police, the driver of the Lumina – whose name was not released – assumed that the intersection of Westminster and Howard was a four-way stop.
He will be charged with failing to yield right of way, police said.
The passenger of the Rainbow Cab – whose name was also not released – was transported to WCA Hospital for not life-threatening injuries. The driver of the cab was reportedly uninjured.
The Ellicott Police Department was assisted by Alstar Ambulance and Celoron emergency officials.
