T’Wolves Earn Berth In Class C Finals

CATTARAUGUS – Fifth-seeded Cattaraugus-Little Valley (15-4) took advantage of another outstanding mound performance by Sara Crandall and earned a berth in the Section 6 Class C finals with a 2-0 semifinal victory over No. 8 Allegany-Limestone on Friday.

While the Lady Timberwolves scored a run in the third and fourth innings, Crandall was brilliant, tossing a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts and no walks. She also helped her own cause with a pair of singles. Teammate Kaylee Starks connected for a double, triple and a single with an RBI.

For the Lady Gators, Mariah Monroe picked up the loss, pitching a complete game with three strikeouts, one walk while surrendering seven hits.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley will take on No. 6 Franklinville in the finals on Tuesday at Jefferson Middle School.
