Incarcerated Dunkirk Man Faces Drug Charges
An incarcerated Dunkirk man was given additional charges Thursday after an investigation revealed he had previously dabbled in drug possession and sales.
Nineteen-year-old Dyquan M. Smith was indicted by a secret Chautauqua County Grand Jury on Wednesday after the District Attorney’s office brought forth information gathered by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force investigation revealed that Smith previously sold quantities of crack cocaine to an agent of the Task Force on multiple occasions in Dunkirk.
Smith, who was already being held at the county jail for unrelated reasons, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
He is currently being held without bail pending his arraignment at a later date.
